De Kempen The typical Kempen landscape with its wild terrain and vast woods has a picturesque and relaxing feel to it, making it an ideal location for long cycling or hiking excursions. The natural scenery is dotted with scenic villages, such as the famous ‘Acht Zaligheden’ (eight delights). At the same time, however, the Kempen region is also very ‘artistic’. The famous Dutch architect Rietveld has left his mark on Bergeijk and its surrounding area and Van Gogh was inspired by Nuenen. And besides its great architectural treasures, the region is also rich in culture. With museums, galleries, major events and, last but certainly not least, the modern design city of Eindhoven, which is famous for its Van Abbemuseum and the Design Academy. De Kempen always has a surprise in store for you. |
