Eindhoven, city of light

Eindhoven is a city full of contrasts. History and hypermodern design go hand in hand. Its basis is thanks to Philips and its light bulbs, and as a city of Light it stays true to its name with the route of lights and the international festival Glow. The Dutch Design Week has made Eindhoven well-known all over the world. Take a look in the first Philips factory (1891), the Van Abbemuseum or the Centrum Kunstlicht in de Kunst (Artificial light in art centre) in order to learn more.
