Helmond, the smiling face of Brabant

Helmond is known for its modernised architecture. In the 70’s already Helmond had the very first ‘cube dwelling’ designed by Piet Blom. Other striking elements are Boscotondo and the residential area of Brandevoort, built in the old style. Or marvel at the Municipal museum that is housed in the castle. But Helmond is also a nice city to go shopping in, with many cosy bars and cafés alongside the water. Great places to take a breather during the Artimond arts festival or Jazz in Catstown.
